About Us

Genchi, was Kazmunai in its earlier avatar. Origins trace back to 1994 when a relatively modest enterprise engaged in trading operations under the name Sea Star International. The newly unfettered Kazakhstan, alive with promise, offered wide ranging opportunities which Sea Star was quick to recognise and embrace. Soon thereafter the company re-established itself as Kazmunai Services and devoted focus to the burgeoning oil and gas sector.

Investments were channelled in men and materials, an organizational structure was established and initial projects were executed with distinction. All this led to increasing by complex challenges and Kazmunai evolved pre-emptively to embrace rapid advancements of technology taking place in the oil and gas sector. Gains were consolidated and the company, now re-branded and re-invigorated as GENCHI, is a major player, undertaking turnkey projects both on shore and off shore. Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning services are routinely offered in the development of new facilities or the rehabilitation and upgradation of existing installations.

Genchi has diversified significantly both geographically and technologically. Manpower and other resources have been divided into specific areas of operations. 

The Genchi group has registered head offices in Chennai, Delhi, Jamnagar, Almaty, Abudhabi and Mozambique. Our strategic expansion plans include spreading oper-  ations to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Myanmar & Vietnam.
